Standard second-row captain’s chairs bring its total seating capacity to seven, but families can also choose an eight-passenger model with a second-row bench. Custom comfort comes standard, too, with a tri-zone auto climate control system that provides separate temperature settings for the driver, front passenger, and rear passengers.
Behind the third-row seat, the Carnival has 40.2 cubic feet of cargo space, which expands to a best-in-class 145.1 cubic feet when you fold the third-row seats and remove the second-row seats. Paired to an 8-speed auto transmission, its 3.5-liter V6 engine produces 287 horsepower and tows up to 3,500 pounds. This powertrain is protected by Kia’s industry-leading warranty for 10 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
New Look, New Features
A bold grille and amber Star Map Daytime Running Lights give the Carnival a new SUV-inspired look for 2025. The SX trim now offers an optional Dark Edition package that enhances its style with dark exterior accents, 19-inch dark alloy wheels, and an available off-black two-tone interior.
The Carnival also gets upgraded tech, including the available Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA 2). Like standard Highway Driving Assist, HDA 2 can control your vehicle’s speed and steering on compatible highways. This newer version also assists with lane changes and uses machine learning to mimic your driving style.
Family-Friendly Tech Features
Everyone can stay connected inside the Carnival, with a Wi-Fi Hotspot and seven USB ports for convenient charging. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connect compatible smartphones to the 12.3-inch touchscreen display, so you can mirror apps or play music on the audio system. Your touchscreen also provides an intuitive interface for infotainment information, vehicle settings, and navigation, and its software stays current with Over-the-Air updates.
When life gets busy, the Carnival makes it more convenient with its included 3-year subscription to Kia Connect. This service lets you remotely interact with your vehicle using the Kia Access App to start the engine, lock the doors, and find its location. It also helps keep your family safe with features like its Rear Seat Occupancy Notification, which sends an alert to your smartphone if motion is detected in the rear seats after your Carnival has been locked.
